Pillar Day Two
This goretex-clad itinerant was discovered pillaging YHA rations in this somewhat leaky shelter. We did hope he was warm enough in his swish waterproof pants. I think that's a bottle of meths by his elbow.
After much sloshing through reed-choked bogs and admiring numerous small tarns we break out onto the tramway and are rewarded with almost sunny views of the Borrowdale Fells.
And not a bitter one...just past midday we descend to the car after a very pleasant excursion. Nigel and Larry suprisingly demure at the idea of purchasing a slate coaster.
